Ahhhh, clean apartment. Feels good. It reminds me of an old episode of "Malcolm in the Middle" when the family goes to visit Francis at the ranch he works at. Dewey accidentally breaks the German woman's figurine and she teaches him all about how cleaning can make you forget all the shame and bad things in your life. Not that I have anything to be shameful about, but ya know. Clean apartment, clean mind. I am so zen.
Ugh, I so do not want to go back to work tomorrow. Spring Break was nice, but definitely too fast and I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted to. Procrastination, I love you and loathe you oh so much. It was nice relaxing at home, but the party's gotta end sometime. Such is life. I have a lot of things to stress and worry about once school starts again tomorrow. Today is my last day of non-stress before my Chorus concert May 2. After that, I can relax and just count the days until school is over. June 2nd baby, is the magical day! Summer is going to be fantabulous.
The cats are still fighting. Well, I should say that Taysha, the new kitty, keeps attacking Henry. Man, she REALLY wants to be the alpha cat. With a passion. The problem is that Henry is a lover, not a fighter, and hence when she attacks him, he runs away like a pussy (cat) and lets her beat him up. He is twice her size and could whoop her ass, but he won't fight back. *sigh* I've tried giving him pep talks:
"Henry, she's half your size and a GIRL. Are you gonna take this shit? I mean, come on! You could totally beat her up if you just didn't run away like a wuss. If you keep letting her boss you around she's never gonna leave you alone!"*
*taken from a conversation I had with Henry this morning in the bathroom after another fight.
That's motivating, right? I think so.
Yesterday was Bill's cousin's baby's baptism. That was a lot of possessive nouns. Even though it's Bill's cousin, she is pretty much his older sister, so Bill is her baby's fake Uncle. He has one real uncle, the Dad's brother, so since she is an only child, Bill and his sister are fake Aunt and Uncle. Anyway, baby was baptized yesterday and it was a beautiful ceremony. Even though I have been kind of anti-Catholic for our wedding ceremony, the priest won me over. He is such a cute funny old man. I have a soft spot for those kinds. So who knows, I may be going Catholic much to the horror of my Protestant family. I just want to go to a church that is beautiful and where I feel comfortable, and I want to have a simple, non-denominational ceremony. No mass, no weird Catholic mumbles and hand motions that always leave me baffled when I am dragged to church with Bill's family. I want my family to be comfortable, as well as his. But we both want to be married in a church by a priest/minister/preacher/faith healer/snake handler whatever. Anyone that's cool, but not in an annoying trying to be cool and funny way. Someone that will have a mixture of traditional and non-traditional ceremonies that is cool with him being Catholic and me being Presbyterian and neither of us converting.
But anyway, back to the fake Nephew baptisim. The service was nice, and they had a party afterwards that was also fun. The food was awesome, and there were a ton of people there. I don't think I've seen so many babies in one place together. After the party Bill and I went over to his parents house to eat pizza and hang out. They are really being cool and making me feel like a member of the family. They were pretty good about making me quasi feel like a family member before, but now they are so freakin' excited about the wedding. That's all his Mom could talk about - when we want to get married, where, the food, the honeymoon, etc. It's great right now though, I'm not sick of talking about wedding stuff yet, and we haven't really done any real planning other than just looking at places online or in magazines. There are so many cool places I want to check out. I think I have a general idea of what I want for the reception, now we just have to go look at a jillion places and figure it all out.
I seriously just cannot wait to plan this be-yotch!
